Hindi Wikipedia Editathon

In early 2021, Project Mukti launched Hindi Wikipedia edit-a-thons to create and improve the quality of Hindi articles on Hindi Wiki. Our attempt has been to encourage researchers, teachers, history enthusiasts, translators, Hindi scholars to contribute to one of the largest online free encyclopedia.

As part of 130th birth anniversary celebration of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, we invite you to join our next Wikipedia edit-a-thon #HindiWiki scheduled on 29 April 2021.

It’s a one-day event where we are celebrating our Dalit Poets and writers who have given their invaluable contribution to create and carry forward the Dalit Literature which was not allowed by Savarna society to be visible in any form. Their struggle and work reminds us of the glorious legacy of Dalits who fought against the obstructions imposed by the society.

We invite all the scholars, academicians, and students to take part and enrich the Wikipedia platform with amazing Dalit Hindi writers like Anita Bharti, Kanwal Bharti, Baby Haldar, etc.

Let’s come together to create our knowledge in our language so everyone in our community can understand the struggle and conviction of these forerunners.

Join our team for a live editing session on 29 April 2021 to learn about how to edit, create and contribute to Hindi Wikipedia. No prior experience required.
