Development Associate - Zindagi Fellowship

Position: Full-time

Probation period: 2 months, which can be extended after reviewing performance

We are looking for someone to join our team who is committed to working with us for at least a year (extendable on a need basis). Please do not apply if you have plans on applying for higher studies during that period. 

Remuneration

Compensation will be determined under organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Planning and coordination:  Maintain an accurate database of the fellows. Utilize this data for generating reports, and tracking progress. 

    Support the planning and execution of events and activities, including logistical planning, volunteer coordination, and promotion to potential attendees.

    They will be managing the calendar and also the attendance sheets for fellows, being the main point of contact for the fellows 

  2. Design and Implementation - The Development Associate will support the Zindagi Fellowship Manager with the design and development of the fellowship programme. 

    They will also help in implementing changes and designs as per the need and plans towards building a robust fellowship programme. They will act as critical thinkers, who would give feedback and suggestions on the ongoing development of the programme. 

  3. Research and communications

    • Conduct research to identify potential partnerships and organizations and stakeholders both at the state and the national level, aligned with our mission of empowering young women from marginalized communities.  

    • Research skills must be used to further the reach of the organizational values and identify potential fellows for our programme. 

    4 Skill development and mentorship: Open to mentoring young women and helping build their skills and incorporating a feeling of teamwork 

    Designing facilitation sessions and building a “we-feeling” among the fellows

Qualifications  & Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

  2. Good written and verbal communication skills both in English and Hindi.

  3. Must have a keen sense of attention to detail. 

  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  5. Open to taking lead and initiative independently

  6. Experience in interning or working in a nonprofit is a plus.

  7. Comfort using Google Suite and open to learning new technical skills.
