COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER (SOCIAL MEDIA)

Project Mukti (Ukkattha Foundation) is seeking a dynamic Communications Manager (Social Media) to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a brand image that communicates, externally and internally, information that promotes our vision-mission, and our services. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Social Media Analytics: Analyze social media data and metrics to track the performance of different campaigns, posts, and content. Use insights to create meaningful reports and improve future strategies.

  • Multimedia Expertise: Possess the ability to create engaging videos and captivating photos that resonate with the target audience.

  • Content Creation and Posting: Develop high-quality and compelling audio-visual-written content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and website.

  • Developing Reports and Promotional Material: Designing monthly, annual reports, bimonthly newsletters, brochures, proposals etc..

  • Staying Up-to-date: Stay informed about the latest trends, features, and best practices in social media marketing to keep the organization's social media efforts relevant and effective.

  • Social Media Content Tools: Utilize software and tools to create, schedule, and manage social media content effectively.

  • Strategy Development: Develop a social media calendar and engagement strategies that involve interacting with the audience, fostering discussions, and building a strong online community.

  • Reporting to Operations Manager: Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to provide regular reports on social media performance and campaign results.

  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with all departments to align social media efforts with their initiatives and create synergistic campaigns.

  • Networking with Media Organizations and personnel for media coverage of organization’s events and activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Digital Media.

  • We value your creative abilities and what you can bring to the table. While experience as a Communications Manager/Social Media Coordinator or in a similar role is beneficial, we are more interested in seeing your creations and understanding your potential to create compelling content.

  • Post Design: Proficiency in designing visually appealing and engaging posts, encompassing both written content and graphic designing, especially related to Education and technology. You should be able to produce content in a timely manner to meet social media schedules.

  • Storytelling: Ability to take ideas and turn them into compelling stories that our partners, stakeholders and community would love to read and experience.

  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in person, over the phone, and in writing.

  • Professional Writing: Demonstrated experience in writing professionally, with an impeccable understanding of grammar, punctuation, and creative copywriting skills tailored for web and social media content. 

  • Creativity and Adherence to Standards: Showcasing creativity while maintaining alignment with company standards, voice, and tone in all communications.

  • Proactive and Independent: A self-starter who can identify opportunities and address challenges without needing constant direction.

  • Design Software Proficiency: Experience in using design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, and other relevant software to create captivating visual content.

  • Familiarity with Digital Design and Publishing: Knowledge of digital design principles and the process of publishing content across various social media platforms.

  • Strong Communication and Relationship Building: Solid interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively communicate and build positive relationships within the team and with external stakeholders.

  1. Contract Details: This position is offered on a full-time one-year contract basis, with benefits available after successfully completing a three-month probationary period. You will report directly to the Operations Manager in this role.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and internal equity.
