Literacy Facilitator
Job Description

The Literacy Facilitator will focus on delivering a high-quality literacy program for children aged 7-13 while fostering a classroom environment that is inclusive, diverse, and conducive to learning. They will design and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, collaborate with curriculum developers, coordinate with teacher trainer on a regular basis, report to the Education Manager for feedback and engage with parents and communities to support holistic literacy development. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the program, by coordinating with the team.
Working Days & Hours: Mon to Fri, 3 to 5pm
Compensation: Rs.10,000/- per month + Travel

Subject area: Literacy program for age group 7-13 years.
Support the development and implementation of lesson plans in collaboration with the teacher trainer and Education Manager.
Help assess students’ learning needs, identify challenging areas, and support progress tracking through practice activities and feedback.
Assist in facilitating engaging activities that build critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and social awareness.
Contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment that respects gender, diversity, and equity.
Participate in community visits across Delhi, when required, to support student engagement, especially during the annual fest, Ukkattha.
Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and support addressing concerns, as guided by the team.
Work collaboratively with the team to support ongoing improvement of lesson delivery and teaching practices.

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Education, or a related field (Master’s and B.Ed. preferred).
A minimum of 1–2 years in teaching or research is required. Familiarity with lesson planning and experience in curriculum development is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication, research, networking, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, socio-culturally sensitive, and aligned with Project Mukti’s mission and values.
