Communications Intern
Job Description

The Communications Intern will support the Communications team in strengthening the organisation’s digital presence through newsletters, blogs, and other communication materials. The role involves creating engaging content, maintaining consistency across platforms, coordinating team contributions, and supporting the design and timely publication of newsletters.

Support the planning, drafting, design, and publication of newsletters.
Ensure newsletters are prepared on schedule and meet deadlines.
Research and develop topic ideas to support a steady content pipeline.
Coordinate with the wider team to gather stories, updates, photographs, and content ideas.
Organise input from team members to support smooth content collection and publication.
Maintain consistency in tone, branding, and visual identity across materials.
Help maintain a content calendar for newsletters and blog posts.
Design simple graphics and layouts using tools such as Canva.
Assist in tracking newsletter performance and engagement.
Support other communications activities and campaigns as needed.

Eligibility:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Media, Marketing, Design, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good attention to detail and proofreading ability.
Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
Basic understanding of blogs, newsletters, and digital communications.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate with others, and meet deadlines.
Interest in nonprofit work and social impact initiatives.
